Honesty heart

The honesty plant (Lunaria annua) is one of the mainstays of our cutting garden in May. Its scented white and purple flowers combine with tulips to make beautiful bouquets.

After June we leave the plants to make seedpods. In August we dry them, strip off the green casings and then make these beautiful hearts.

The translucent hearts are reminiscent of mother-of pearl and look fantastic hung against a window.

Double sided heart made of dried honesty pods from our garden - c. 19 x 19 cm.

£4.95
These are being made specifically for the Country Living Scottish Fair.
